Gulou District CC&TSPM in Nanjing issued a notice Wednesday that all in-person gatherings in the area would be suspended.

Believers were also suggested to do personal protection, in order to support the prevention and control of the pandemic.

As of 6 p.m. on July 20, nine positive cases of COVID-19 were found among the staff of Lukou International Airport in Jiangning District, Nanjing City, China's eastern-coastal Jiangsu Province.

Lukou Street became a closed and controlled area, according to the Nanjing Command Center for COVID-19 Control and Prevention. Xiecun Community, Baiyun Road Community and Shinian Village in Lukou Street, and Maojiaxu Natural Village of Jiutang Administrative Village in Shiqiu Street, Lishui District, were upgraded from low-risk areas to medium-risk areas.
