Shaanxi Bible School launched a retreat at the beginning of the autumn semester after old and new students all came back to school to register last Wednesday.

On September 2, three sermons were given by the head and two deputy presidents of the school, according to Shaanxi CC&TSPM.

In the first session, President Rev. Wang Hong shared a speech with the title Being a Pastoral Leader. She clarified the meaning and functions of pastors and leaders, summarizing and analyzing the characteristics, types, and rich content of pastoral leaders.

The second session titled Being Children of God was led by Deputy President Rev. Yang Haitao, who urged students to value the word of God and pay attention to daily reading, thinking, investigation, and practice. He shared four aspects of the journey of the Christian life from a newborn baby to a mature and sophisticated adult in terms of faith, covering craving pure spiritual milk, gaining motherly nourishment and fatherly discipline from God, and attaining to the whole measures of the fullness of Christ.

In the third session, Deputy President Rev Chen Dingliang shared a lecture named Busy, Listening, Serving, reminding each student to think about the Lord’s words repeatedly with examination and prayer and to think carefully about how to serve more effectively and how to conduct dedicated service.
