A church in China’s southeastern coastal Fujian Province announced the resumption of its onsite services and gatherings.

On its official WeChat account on April 22, Chengguan Church in Pingtan Town, Fuzhou, Fujian, issued a notice, saying it will reopen two days later, with Sunday services to be held in person and virtually.

Besides reminding believers to keep a social distance and to have their temperature measured with masks while attending the service, the church released the timetable of three Sunday services and a Wednesday evening gathering from May 1 to September 30.

Mainland China detected 2,133 confirmed COVID-19 cases on Thursday (one in Fujian) and 16,465 asymptomatic infections (one in Fujian). A total of 2,730 patients were discharged from the hospital after recovery, including 16 in Fujian.
