Besides making donations, believers of a Qingdao church in Shandong Province participated as volunteers.

Recently, as a tourist attraction, Qingdao Jiangsu Road Church closed to suspend all onsite gatherings, after cases of the omicron variant appeared in Shanghai and Laixi, Qingdao, Shandong, following the guidelines of Qingdao CC&TSPM on March 10. The church guided believers to pray and read the Bible at home, through its website, official WeChat account, and phone calls, according to Qingdao CC&TSPM

More recently, the church members have donated about 70,000 yuan worth of supplies to Qingdao Laixi Church to control the spread of the pandemic, including protective clothing, goggles, protective masks, N95 masks, disinfectant, 75% alcohol disinfectant wipes and gel hand sanitizer. In addition, pastoral staff of the church also participated in the volunteer service of nucleic acid testing in the Shouzhang Road community, Shinan District. They assisted the street staff in maintaining order on-site, checking health codes, disinfecting hands, taking temperatures, and inputting information. They also donated protective suits, goggles and N95 masks to the community.

As of May 6, Qingdao has had no new cases for 11 days, resulting in industrial production and people's lives returning to normal.
