One-stop to All the Christian Music Winners Of the 2016 Grammys (Video)

Dubbed “Music’s Biggest Night,” the Grammys, the 58th Annual GRAMMY Awards were held last Monday in Los Angeles, California, celebrating the best in the industry from the last year. As in the previous years, the gospel/ Christian music list is not inferior to the past. Here are the lists of winners for the Grammys 2016.

Best Gospel Performance/Song

WINNER: "Wanna Be Happy?" Kirk Franklin

This win marks Franklin’s 18th Grammy’s Award. After winning in the category, Franklin wrote on his official Twitter page how he is grateful for people who made the success and of course, honored God for the Grammy award.

"I'm so proud of all my gospel music family today at the Grammys! It celebrates what we do, but never defies who we are," Franklin said.

Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song

WINNER: "Holy Spirit," Francesca Battistelli

They wrote an incredible song, & the Lord is honoring it," wrote Batttistelli on her Twitter page. Battistelli received her first Grammy Award nomination in 2009, for Best Gospel Performance with her single "Free to Be Me."

Best Gospel Album

WINNER: "Covered: Alive In Asia" [Live] (Deluxe)," Israel & Newbreed

Israel is a worship leader, also nominated in the Best Gospel Performance/Song for the live rendition of the song "How Awesome is Our God," which featured Yolanda Adams

Best Contemporary Christian Music Album

WINNER: “This Is Not a Test,” Tobymac

Mac is one of the most popular Christian artists due to his songs which people can relate into especially all of them are about life experiences.

He never forgot to thank God for his success and everyone who helped him create the Grammy award winning album. "So honored, so grateful, so humbled and soooo thankful for all who labored with me on this project. To God be the glory."

Best Roots Gospel Album

WINNER: “Still Rockin' My Soul,” The Fairfield Four

The legendary Nashville a cappella gospel group, The Fairfield Four, was organized in 1921, having existed for over 90 years. the Fairfield Four continue to perform a cappella & have been singularly important in revitalizing & preserving the oldest style of traditional spiritual & gospel singing.
