A painting exhibition entitled "Song of The Garden of Eden" by two Christian artists held its opening ceremony in Shanghai Tianxing Art Space on June 17.
He Xie, one of the artists, shared that she had been thinking about how to use colors and lines before adding themes regarding to Christianity, but she then started to think about how God used these colors in the creation after having faith in the Lord through her conversion. Artists, musicians and cultural workers can draw inspirations from the source of the word: God.
She also hopes these deep paintings can arouse souls' deep thinking.
The other artist, Shan Duoen, is from Taiwan, born in the 1990s. She said that she believes in beautiful things since she was young and that there's always something full of light at the other side when it seems frustrating without hope. She hopes to share bright and adorable things through her works to inspire others.
A comment from a famous host and playwriter Jiang Yuanlai said that in the past, the flowers, plants and trees were melancholic with edges in He's paintings for she who grew up in Yunnan likes drawing flowers and plants and modern western philosophy. Now, the nature under her painting looks brighter still hidden with pointed edges, which resemble the Christian faith that is both gentle and fighting.
Jiang cites a work of Sister Shan - The Earth - and stated that the Earth is filled with flowers, representing a praise for the beauty of God's creation.
