Yinchuan is scheduled to host the first contemporary art biennial in the Ningxia Hui autonomous region this coming September in the Museum of Contemporary Art Yinchuan.
The biennial will be curated by Indian artist Bose Krishnamachari. He remarks that "The biennial's concept addresses to different themes, including spiritual and social consciousness, an examination of political narratives and critical global engagement and an acknowledgment of a collective responsibility therein."
At least 80 artists from across the world will take part in the biennial and share their works through the exhibit. There is also a workshop that will be held for children to introduce art development worldwide.
The Art Biennial in Yinchuan will end September 18.
