In hopes to unite the world by spreading God's love, Fox News anchor and award-winning journalist Kelly Wright released his newest Gospel album, Songs of Inspiration. The album was released last Friday on Daywind Records, with the carrier single, "America, Great Again." It is now available on all digital platforms, including iTunes, Amazon, and Spotify.

In an interview with Christian Post following the release of the album, Wright said, "In these troubled times where we find ourselves mired in political partisanship, racial and religious division, I wanted to produce a collection of songs that inspire us to trust God. Songs of Inspiration does that,"

"It allows me to use my platform to encourage people to embrace Christ and engage the world with God's amazing grace, which breaks down the walls that divide us and melts our hearts with a love that unites us." He adds.

The singer also clarifies that his song "America, Great Again," has nothing to do with the "Make America Great Again." campaign slogan of President Donald Trump. Wright also describes his album as a project that has a lot of hopeful music that is meant to inspire and encourage others.

"First of all, no! This was not written about or in response to today's news and the current political climate. This song is not about what divides us. It's about the values and faith that unites us," he said in a statement.

Songwriters Marty Funderburk and Joseph Habedank are the people who made the carrier single possible. They wrote the song several years ago, way before the presidential primary campaigns.

Along with the carrier single, other songs that are familiar in the album includes "Jesus Loves Me," "Amazing Grace," "Holy Holy Holy," "Great Is Thy Faithfulness," and "Rock of Ages." Wright also wrote a few songs for the album including "Take a Look Around."

This album truly shares Wright's heart for God, family, and country. "It is such an honor to sing songs that can touch people's lives and encouragement," Wright said.

"That is my hope in making this recording. Every lyric on this CD has made an impact on my life, and I am grateful for the opportunity to share these songs with you. May God receive all the glory for the amazing things He has done." He added.

In addition to being a news anchor and reporter, Wright is also an ordained minister, author, speaker, vocalist, and a two-time Emmy Award winner. This Army veteran pursued his passion for journalism after college and was able to secure numerous high-profile interviews through the years.
