MBC's "W" Korean drama's leading actor, Lee Jong Suk talked about his new drama in an interview of a fashion magazine.
The publication showed the 26-year-old actor in a series of black and white photos for the August issue with the theme "well-known and unkown."
Actor Lee has been making news recently for his new starring role entitled "W". It is a fantasy romance story starring Lee Jong Suk and the 29-year-old actress Han Hyo Joo. Actor Lee is playing a webtoon character, Kang Chul who falls in love with real surgeon named Oh Yeon Joo, actress Han.
In a report, Lee Jong Suk shared how does it feel to play a webtoon-based character.
"I don't act differently in the realms of reality and the webtoon," he said. "Because Kang Chul is a fictional character, I consider it my role to show a sense of difference."
"I think that's something I'm good at. I'm confident when it comes to getting rid of cheesiness. It's difficult this time, so I'm working hard," Lee Jong Suk added.
The director of "W", Jung Dae Yoon believed that the unique genre of the drama will outshine any other Korean drama. The program's visual effects and quality acting cast members are expected to attract more viewers.
"W" airs on MBC every Wednesdays and Thursdays 10:00 p. m. KST.
