Jeremy Lin's Promotion to New Yorkers starts

The Brooklyn Nets have formally started their campaign for Jeremy Lin to gain support from New Yorkers by reaching out the leaders of New York's Chinese and Chinese-American communities on Tuesday.

According to source, Joe Grande, the Nets senior account manager for group sales, met and explain to the leaders of New York's Chinese and Chinese-American communities the impact of Lin's return to the city.

"We went all in on Jeremy Lin and we would love to see you come out and support him," Grande's statement as he courted the local community leaders.

Grande's team has also presented more than a few ticket packages for the Net fans who want to see Lin at Barclays Center.

Lin's Effect to the Asian Community

Lin, since he rose to fame in the year 2012 has been spoken about how he desired to make an impact to the Asian community.

"Chinese people, Asian-Americans, Asians, they always have a special place in my heart. Coming back here [New York], I want to be able to try to inspire the next generation, reach out in the community," the 27-year-old point guard told The New York Times.

According to Timothy, the New York bureau chief for Central News Network in Taiwan that Lin continues to attract attention, mostly of the younger generation, in fact, he doesn't only have an enormous fan base in New York but in Asia as well.

Ryan Chin, a youth basketball league mentor, shared to The NY Times, "People really don't understand how some Asian kids could be good.

"I just want to thank Jeremy Lin," he added.
