"Descendants of the Sun" leading actor Song Joong Ki clarified rumors going around about THAAD (Terminal High Altitude Area Defense) affecting his Chinese endorsements.
With the ongoing tension between South Korea and China, Hallyu stars and their promotions overseas, especially in China have become a concern and one of the stars rumored to be victim is the 30-year-old actor, Song Joong Ki.
Rumors say that the actor supposedly had an $8 million Chinese drama offer that was just canceled due to THAAD.
However, a representative spoke in behalf of the actor on August 4 saying, "He did receive many offers for Chinese dramas and movies, but nothing was confirmed. Therefore, the word cancellation does not make sense in this situation."
Currently, fans of Song Joong Ki hope the actor will not be a victim for this situation.
