In the Christian music industry, several American Idol finalists have taken the spotlight and have managed to develop their successful careers. Jeremy Rosado from season 11's finalists is also on course to do just that. As Rosado came back to Jesus, he realized that he could "rewind" and start new.
During the competition, Rosado was highly praised by judge Jennifer Lopez, who has also coined the "Jer-Bear" name for him. Unfortunately, before making it the top 10, he was eliminated and was left to figure out what would be the next for him.
Jeremy Rosado has recently released his EP "Rewind" on June 23, 2017, during a large release party held by his church, the Free Life Chapel in Lakeland, Florida. Rosado believed that God's grace had helped him keep going and start over the years after American Idol.
During an interview with The Christian Post after the release of his album, he said, "I've found myself telling God so many times, 'If I could only rewind time and change things I've done' or do things I didn't, finding myself feeling stuck from past things,"
The 25-year-old singer added, "In an instant when I started writing these songs, I felt God tell me, every day is a rewind for you, My Grace is enough, it gives you a restart always. And, in at that moment, everything changed for me!"
"Trust" is Rosado's lead single in his album. In LinkedIn, he also posted that forgiveness and forging ahead against all the odds is the main theme of the record.
"After 'American Idol' it hit me that God's love is there. It's like He 'rewinds' our life so that we can start over. We can do things anew. And through Christ, God gives us the ability to do that every day," Rosado said.
At his church in Florida, Rosado is now a full-time worship pastor, and following the release of his Rewind EP, it already hit the top 10 on the Christian charts on iTunes.
