Justin Bieber officially cancelled the rest of his Purpose World Tour and several fans were shocked and devastated on the latest news.
There were reportedly 14 remaining concert dates left in the US, including shows in New Jersey, Colorado, Texas and Los Angeles, and several others overseas.
With much disappointment from fans, John Mayer came to defend the "What Do You Mean" singer and took to his social media account to defend Bieber.
"When someone pulls remaining dates of a tour, it means they would have done real damage to themselves if they kept going," he posted on his Twitter account. "We've lost so many great artists lately. I give Justin [two thumbs up emojis] for realizing it was time to call it. You should too."
Meanwhile, Justin Bieber's longtime manager Scooter Braun, took to his Instagram account and talked about that the 23-year-old singer and the decision to end the tour.
"A man's soul and well being I truly care about came first and we must all respect and honor that," the manager said. Adding that he was thankful for everyone who was involved in the success of the concert tour. He said: "Congrats to @justinbieber on an incredible tour and thank you to the entire cast and crew for your unending support."
"And to those that won't be able to see it...on behalf of myself, Justin, and the team, we are sorry. That was never our intent," he continued. "I know he looks forward to performing for you and with you all again. One chapter ends and another begins. Thank you again...your support for Justin is inspiring. Cheers."
The "Sorry" singer also released a statement apologizing to his fans and added that he did careful considerations for the cancellation of the tour.
Meanwhile, after he cancelled his tour, several sources claimed the singer is trying to focus on his faith and planning to start his own church, in which Bieber remained silent about.
