1. Young people should keep fit.
Proverbs 20:29 The glory of young men is their strength, gray hair the splendor of the old.
2. Young people should know the Lord.
Ecclesiastes 12:1 Remember your Creator in the days of your youth, before the days of trouble come and the years approach when you will say, "I find no pleasure in them".
3. Young people should praise Jehovah.
Psalm 148:12 (Praise the Lord...) young men and women, old men and children.
4. Young people should have wisdom.
Ecclesiastes 4:13 Better a poor but wise youth than an old but foolish king who no longer knows how to heed a warning.
5. Young people should be righteous.
Ecclesiastes 11:9 You who are young, be happy while you are young, and let your heart give you joy in the days of your youth.Follow the ways of your heart and whatever your eyes see, but know that for all these things God will bring you into judgment.
6. Young people should be humble and obedient.
1 Peter 5:5 In the same way, you who are younger, submit yourselves to your elders. All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because,"God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble."
7. Young people should bear burdens.
Lamentations 3:27 It is good for a man to bear the yoke while he is young.
8. Young people should be loving and do good deeds.
Matthew 19:20-21 "All these I have kept," the young man said. "What do I still lack?"
Jesus answered, "If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me."
9. Young people should obey God's commandments.
Jeremiah 1:7 But the Lord said to me, "Do not say, 'I am too young.' You must go to everyone I send you to and say whatever I command you.
10. Young people should be examples for believers.
1 Timothy 4:12-16 Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity. Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to preaching and to teaching. Do not neglect your gift, which was given you through prophecy when the body of elders laid their hands on you.Be diligent in these matters; give yourself wholly to them, so that everyone may see your progress. Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers.
