Chinese Christian celebrity Sun Haiying won "Best Actor", the award of the 49th WorldFest-Houston International Film Festival on April 17.
The film A Man's Classroom Sun featured in as the leading actor tells a story about an ordinary substitute teacher insists on teaching a student despite facing hard teaching environment, losing students and the temptation of high salary. It is the first film in China that focuses on left-behind children and rural substitute teachers.
It's the first work of the young director Li Junlin, who praised Sun as an appealing actor with passion.
The actor says that the film really does something for the country, "hoping everyone pay attention to left-behind children and substitute teachers to make the society full of love".
His wife Lv Liping, a famous Christian actress who also attended the award ceremony, shared on the good news on the microblog and gave the glory to God.
