Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington has died and his death is being investigated as an apparent suicide. Fans all over the world are devastated over the singer's death and wonder why the famous vocalist took his own life.
According to Fox News, the 41-year-old singer was found dead at a residence in Palos Verdes Estates in Los Angeles County at 12 p.m. TMZ also added that the singer allegedly hanged himself.
TMZ also added that the singer struggled with alcohol and drug addiction. The site even reportedly talked about suicide as the possible result of his childhood trauma and abuse.
"I have been able to tap into all the negative things that can happen to me throughout my life by numbing myself to the pain, so to speak, and kind of being able to vent it through my music," he said in a 2009 interview with the website Noisecreep. "I don't have a problem with people knowing that I had a drinking problem. That's who I am, and I'm kind of lucky in a lot of ways ′cause I get to do something about it."
"Chester Bennington was an artist of extraordinary talent and charisma, and a human being with a huge heart and a caring soul. Our thoughts and prayers are with his beautiful family, his band-mates and his many friends," Warner Bros. CEO and Chairman Cameron Stang said in a statement to Fox News. "All of us at WBR join with millions of grieving fans around the world in saying: 'We love you Chester and you will be forever missed.'"
For years, he acted as a frontmant to the rock group, whose hits include "In the End," "Crawling," and "Faint."
The news of the band lead singer's death came on the same day the band debuted a new music video for "Talking to Myself" of their latest album titled "One More Light."
It can be recalled that Bennington described how he felt close with their new album.
"In the beginning, we wanted to challenge ourselves musically... but then it became more about our lives," he said. "I sang things in the lyrics of this album that only my wife and closest friends know. I did it because I know there are other people out there who have gone through the stuff I have, and it feels better to know you're not alone."
