The National Churches Fellowship of Nepal (NCF), established as the first umbrella association of Protestant churches in Nepal, has celebrated its 63rd anniversary and general meeting by organizing various programs.
The 63rd anniversary and general meeting held at a party palace in Pokhara were inaugurated by Dr. Bambang Budizanto, the general secretary of the Asia Evangelical Alliance and the chief guest of the event, by lighting the lamp.
During the anniversary and general meeting, Dr. Bambang Budizanto suggested that the churches of Nepal carry out youth-targeted programs on this day and go ahead with the evangelization and discipleship campaign.
Rev. Pastor Surya Bahadur (Hanok) Bal Tamang, president of NCF Nepal, said in the program that NCF Nepal, which was established in the 1960s, has made a significant contribution in planting gospel seeds, building discipleship and leadership, and establishing churches in Nepal.
He said in a conversation with Turhi News that the establishment of churches in every province, district, municipality, and rural municipality of Nepal is the result of the establishment of NCF Nepal.
The former president of NCF Nepal, Rev. Pastor Simon Pandey, and Rev. Pastor Dr. Mangalaman Maharjan participated in the ceremony and congratulated NCF Nepal on the occasion of 63 years of establishment.
Likewise, Pastor Om Prakash Subba, Chairman of Nepal Christian Society, Pastor Dilliram Paudel, General Secretary of Nepal Christian Society, Damodar Gautam, former president of the World Hindu Federation of Nepal, Pastor Grisham Parajuli, advisor of NCF Nepal, etc. gave their greetings.
More than 400 pastor leaders from seven provinces of the country participated in the anniversary and general meeting of NCF Nepal.
The anniversary and the general meeting were held under the coordination of Pastor Prakash Shrestha, head of the Gandaki Province of NCF Nepal. The program was conducted from April 11 to 13, 2023.
