Rev. Lin Manhong Attends WCC Executive Committee Meeting in Cyprus

Rev. Lin Manhong, vice president and general secretary of the China Christian Council (CCC) attended the World Council of Churches (WCC) executive committee meeting convened in Paralimni, Cyprus.

The meeting was hosted by the Church of Cyprus, Holy Metropolis of Constantia and Ammochostos from November 21 to 26, and included daily Orthodox prayers each morning with a different parish, said CCC&TSPM. During the meeting, the executive committee discussed the previous programmatic work conducted since the executive committee last met in June 2024 and discussed and approved the program plans for 2025.

The participants also learned about the challenges and difficulties faced by Christianity in Cyprus, including the Orthodox, Catholic, and Protestant communities.

Representing the Chinese church and as a WCC executive committee member, Reverend Lin, secured arrangements for the next executive committee meeting to be held in Hangzhou, China, in November 2025, as well as Chinese church participation in related WCC activities in 2025.
