The churches situated in Hebei Province engaged in initiatives for flood prevention and disaster relief, demonstrating their commitment through financial and material contributions.

The Hebei Christian Council and Three-Self Patriotic Movement (Hebei CC&TSPM) immediately issued an appeal to churches across the province, requesting financial assistance and material donations in light of recent unusual and severe flooding in some areas of Hebei Province, according to CCC&TSPM.

Rev. Cheng Baoshan, vice president and general secretary of Hebei CC, visited churches in disaster-affected communities like Zhuozhou and Laishui on August 10 to gather information about the dire situation. He also inspired local clergy and believers to collaborate with relevant authorities in the rescue operations and subsequent post-disaster reconstruction endeavors.

According to initial calculations, up until the 14th of August, churches across the province had collectively donated in excess of 500,000 yuan and other relief supplies such as rice, flour, oil, bottled water, ham sausages, instant noodles, medications, and disinfectant materials.
