Rev. Wu Wei has been re-elected as chairman of the ninth China Christian Council (CCC) and Rev. Xu Xiaohong, president of the eleventh National Committee of the Three-Self Patriotic Movement (TSPM).
On December 21, the third day of the national conference held every five years for CCC&TSPM, the two leaders remained as China's registered churches' top leaders after the election, according to CCC&TSPM.
Five years ago, Rev. Wu Wei was elected as CCC chairman and Rev. Xu Xiaohong as TSPM president. They will continue to serve at their current positions in the next five years.
Rev. Lin Manhong was elected as the general secretary of CCC, and Gu Mengfei as secretary general of TSPM.
The eleven national Chinese Christian conference was conducted in Beijing from December 19 to 23, 2023.
The registered church leaders were received by China's top leaders on Saturday, as reported by the Xinhua News Agency.
