There are 52,5000 orphans in China including 1/3 orphans whose life is extremely tough. To improve the situation, the Amity Foundation, which is one of the Christian charities, launched "E thousands ACT"---- an orphan aid project aims at helping orphans in the poor mountainous areas.

Recently, the Amity Foundation visited six areas of Yunnan and verified the declared data of 1200 poor orphan, which shows the importance of orphan-aid projects. They appeal to the community's donation for these orphans. 1485RMB can provide them one-year living and education assistance payments.

According to Amity official, on September 18 to 25, the 7 officers of Amity Foundation went to 6 areas (Tengchong, Shizong, luxi, Mi le, Yuan Yang, Red river ) of orphans sponsorship project of 'E thousands ACT' and checked information.

What the stuff saw was that local children usually walk a muddy and rugged path to school. Debris flow is often in rainy season. Even the journey is far away, they always cross mountains and walk home for hours, and back home once or twice a week .For the children here, it's kind of lucky for them to go to school, as most were very poor, the families have no money to support them to school.
