Air pollution crisis in China is not easy or a laughable matter but WildAid, an advocacy campaign group expects people to laugh and take action on China's crisis as they offer their new comedy film "Hairy Nose".
The 1 minute and 30 seconds short film depicts a bleak feture of people living in China growing lengthy nasal hair that filters the smog.
In a report, the WildAid China's representative said that they wanted to enourage people to stop waiting for government to do the action but they also have to rely on individuals' contribution.
"We wanted to find some humorous way to talk about the very serious problem we are facing," WildAid's China representative, May Mei said in a report.
"A lot of people complain about pollution in Beijing and Shanghai, but no-one really knows what you can do," she further added.
According to the campaign organization, 90% people in China are concerned about the air crisis but is not certainly doing anything about it.
"What we want to say is that change is not that difficult, it should come from everyone," Mei said.
The new campaign was featured on different social media sites, TV station, outdoor screens, subways screens and taxi screens in China and is targeting younger generation because according to WildAid they are "willing to change, to accept new ideas and are also prepared for something better".
The message of the film clearly says" Change air pollution before it changes you."At the end of the film, it conveys the message to people to encourage bicycling as one way of reducing air pollution, too.
"If you're waiting to change your actions, you will eventually be forced to live not in the way you want," The WildAid representative said.
