The symposium entitled "Religions and China's Neighboring Diplomacy under the 'Belt and Road' Initiative" has been opened at Fudan University on Nov 19.
Experts and scholars from universities and Chinese Academy of Social Sciences including Tsinghua University, Peking University and Shanghai Jiao Tong University discuss the topics like "Religions and China's Foreign Strategy", "Religious Risk under Construction of the Belt and Road Initiative" and "Religions and China's Peripheral Security Environment."
Professor Xu Yihua, director of Research Center on Religions and State Security of Fudan University, claims that there is an increasingly close relationship between religions and China's Foreign Strategy, the "Belt and Road" Initiative and the peripheral security environment. More diversified and deeper research achievements are required to support this.
Several specialists and scholars state that evaluating the reality and potential religious risk under the building of the Belt and Road Initiative in a systematic and objective way has been an essential topic.
