Recently the Xi'an YMCA asked for volunteers to engage in an education program for long-stay children with leukemia.
The lessons on the wards of Xi'an Children's Hospital are offered by Beijing New Sunshine Charity Foundation which provides comprehensive support to patients suffering from blood cancers. Teachers should give education with companionship based on language, art, mathematics, science, and health.
Volunteers will also provide behavior modification counseling and developmental teaching. Parent support groups will be established to help the children maintain good learning ability and social adaptability.
