Beijing YWCA Holds Lecture on Women in Past 40 Years

On March 7, 2018, the Beijing YWCA invited Shi Yongqi, a guest professor from Capital Normal University, to give a lecture named "A Glance Back: Chinese Women in the Past Forty Years" to mark the Internationl Women's Day that fell the next day. Fifty-two people attended the lecture. 

Shi recalled the changes of Chinese women in family life, career development, and social position. 

According to the official website of the Beijing YWCA, the organization was founded in 1916. It has the aim "in the spirit of Christ, to promote the moral, intellectual, physical and social development of women, to build lofty and sound personality and foster the spirit of fellowship, to render service to society and bring benefit to people." Its motto is "You know the truth, the truth sets you free."
