To "promote the openness of religious affairs and standardize the identification and management of clerical personnel," the information query system for Islamic, Catholic, and Christian staff was released online on Tuesday.

The system provides the public with information query services for staff of these three religions, who have been legally recognized and registered to the public through the internet, and is synchronously launched on the websites of the China Islamic Association, the Catholic Patriotic Association and the Bishops Conference of the Catholic Church in China (also called "one association and one conference"), the China Christian Council and the National Committee of Three-Self Patriotic Movement (CCC&TSPM), and the National Religious Affairs Administration (NRAA), CCC&TSPM reported on May 23.

The information query system has released seven items of information, including religious personnal's names, genders, photos, religious titles, religious denominations, identities, and ID numbers, with data being updated timely to ensure accuracy. Previously, the information query system for Buddhist and Taoist staff was launched on February 22nd.
