The Institute for Advanced Studies in Chinese Christianity (IASCC) has announced a call for papers for its inaugural Global Theology Conference. Themed "Chinese Christian Theology and Church in Global Perspective: Retrospect and Prospect," the conference aims to revisit, re-evaluate, and reimagine the relationship between theological scholarship and church life within Chinese-speaking contexts.

The announcement responds to the growing global relevance of Chinese Christianity and seeks to address ongoing tensions between theological scholarship and church life. It aims to foster interdisciplinary and international dialogue on how Chinese-speaking communities can better integrate academic theology with the lived realities of faith.

The conference will be structured around four thematic tracks: biblical studies, systematic theology, church history, intercultural studies, and Christian approaches in the humanities and social sciences.

Suggested topics include theological interpretation of Scripture, the relationship between theology and the natural sciences, church practice and theological education, the church-university interface, and interdisciplinary Christian research.

Interested participants are invited to submit a proposal including their name, institutional affiliation, email address, paper title, and a 200-word abstract. The deadline for submission is November 30, 2025, and notification of acceptance will be issued by December 15, 2025. Each accepted paper will be allotted 20 minutes for presentation.
