On January 20, 2016, Xingsha Church held the thanksgiving fellowship "Let Love Move" for children with cerebral palsy and their parents, Changsha. More than 50 disabled children, parents and some medical staff attended it.
Li Min, the tutor of Excellent Parents Institute of International Studies, shared her testimony in the fellowship. Once a cancer patient, she had over ten major surgeries. Her right hand and left leg have been amputated because of cancer spreading. Although experiencing misfortunes unbearable in others' eyes, she lives wonderfully and positively by trusting in God. She said she has learnt how to walk with a prosthetic leg in a short time and currently does the training and witness all over China, hoping to encourage patients with her own experience.
Over the fellowship Li teaches parents how to get along with children with cerebral palsy. Some parents even invited her to communicate online in the future and wanted to get more counselling and aids on children education.
Later a Christian nurse from Xiangya Hospital said she felt grateful for serving these cute children in this special field and calls on the society to give more care to children with cerebral children. She thinks parents should accept children properly and teach them to establish right values for them.
In the end Rev. Chen Zhi, senior pastor of Xingsha Church, said children with cerebral palsy and their parents were a vulnerable group, the parents need to hold the imperfect lives of children with their lifetime of love. He hoped to awake more people to pay attention to this group through this activity.
