On October 27, 2017, Teacher Cao Jinsuo and three believers of Wuxi Church celebrated the traditional Chongyang (or double nine) Festival with 17 elderly residents in a local nursing home in eastern China's Jiangsu Province. The festival fell on Oct. 28 this year to pay respect to the elderly.
The four-person team trimmed the fingernails of the elderly and the latter were moved to tears. One senior said, "We feel like we are forgotten here, but the church remembers us. We are too old to have a manicure with poor eyesight and powerless hands. Moreover, my children never help me get my nails manicured. Thanks for your meticulous concern and the church's love. "
