Yunnan Theological Seminary held a donation service in response to the religious charity week campaign on November 5, 2017. All the tithes and offerings given during the week will be used to support poor students in Yunnan.
Rev. Li Lujun of the seminary preached a sermon on offerings in the Sunday service. He exhorted Christians to understand the importance and significance of offerings, to give offerings based on biblical teachings and to be cheerful givers.
In the donation service, the seminary faculty were required to give, and the students and believers who attended the Sunday service gave offerings of their own will.
The seminary was approved by the People's Government of Yunnan Province in 1989. Its mission is to foster young preachers for churches in Yunnan and train pastoral workers. The school then built a new campus due to the urban construction of Kunming, the capital city. On May 15, 2015, it completed and held its inauguration ceremony.
The seminary has the most diverse student body nationwide, including Yi, Lisu, Jingpo, Lagu, Wa, Miao, Hani, Dai, Zhuang, Tibetan, Nu, and Han people.
