As the coronavirus epidemic broke out in mid-January, the church in Shanghai has been cheering on for the epicenter Wuhan, Hubei Province, and itself.
On February 16, 2020, Jesus' Church in Xiao Kunshan Town, Songjiang District, held an online donation campaign to combat the epidemic, according to the WeChat account of "Shanghai Christianity".
A total of 22,000 yuan was raised to support the disease control work in the town.
One day later, the chief staff of the Jinshan District Christian Council & Three-Self Patriotic Movement (CC&TSPM) distributed medical and life supplies to a local neighborhood committee. They also sent goods including hand creams, goggles, ponchos, and protective gloves to two other village committees.
The Jing'an District CC&TSPM gave the pneumonia control products to the frontline workers on Feb. 20. The next day, the Qingqu District CC&TSPM sent sterilization goods and surgical gloves to grassroots government staff. The leading workers of the Qingpu District CC&TSPM also pledged to join the voluntary work.
