A church in Chengdu announced its recent closure as a new cluster of domestic COVID-19 positive cases emerged.
Guangying Church of Sichuan Province in southwest China said on its official WeChat account on December 12 that it was ordered by local authorities to shut down.
Twelve confirmed infections were reported as of Monday, according to the Chengdu Municipal Health Commission.
While Sunday services will be held online at 8 am, the church encourages its congregation to observe daily devotions and pray for the current pandemic.
If there is any question about the church and Christian faith, calls are welcome.
