From February 15 to 20, the churches in Linfen, Shanxi Province, launched online training for pastoral staff.
Last year, the training wasn't held as scheduled due to the outbreak of COVID-19, although the church had completed its preparations early.
On the second day of the first lunar month, February 13, more than 500 people signed up shortly after the church issued the registration notice. They would give up their time for rest to learn the course, divided into several groups according to the counties or cities for ease of management.
In the Bible-based online training, they discussed and shared church growth and shepherding, staff growth and service in the post-pandemic period, and how to preach the gospel to revive the church. The participants had to complete the homework from 8 to 9:30 in the morning and 3 to 4:30 in the afternoon. The status of involvement in learning and completion of the task has also been reported daily.
On February 15, based on Matthew 9:16-17, Pastor Huang Hailin shared a sermon entitled Pour New Wine in New Wineskins -Reflection on the New Normal Church's Pastoral Care. Pastor Wang Shuai shared a speech based on 2 Kings 6:1-7 with the afternoon's Renewed Service title.
