The premiere of the worldwide evangelistic rally titled "Peace! Security?" was virtually held by Kua Global on July 31.
The online event was simultaneously broadcast on 12 platforms with 36 partners in four sessions.
Andrew Kou, senior pastor of Home of Christ Church in Taipei, gave a sermon in which he raised a question, "Peace is a blessing, but what is peace?"
"Winds and waves are always in our lives, and nobody lives smoothly all his life." Rev. Kou said, "But the greatest blessing in the storm is that God is our refuge and strength, and ever-present help in trouble."
As refuge referred to shelter from the winds, waves, and suffering, the Taiwanese pastor also shared his life experience. "Under the difficult circumstances, many people say that they must die, but in the refuge of Jesus Christ, we are protected."
"Many people would say if God loves me, why did I encounter such a thing?" He continued, "It is because God loves and knows us that he pushes us into the wind and rain. But God promises us one thing, that in difficulties, he becomes our strength. He will not leave us in trouble or ignore us, but he will give us enough strength to face the wind and rain in which we grow. He doesn’t keep us in the hothouse forever. Knowing how much we can bear, he will not squander our lives by giving us a burden too great for us to bear. The difficulties we face will nourish our lives and become blessings."
"I'm almost 60 years old." Rev. Kou said, "Every time in my powerlessness, God reaches out with his hand to pull me up, as I could not get up by myself at all. I cannot face my own weakness, though I could solve some things and other people’s problems. God is our strength which will bring about change.”
No matter where or when you are, Jesus is always there to help you, he added.
"Come to Him," He said, "Know Jesus Christ and let Him be our Lord who gives us a new life, a powerful life, and a changing life in truth."
The next sermons will be held on the first three Saturdays of August.
