A retreat was held for 48 pastoral workers in Guangdong.
From August 17 to 18, Huizhou CC&TSPM in Guangdong Province held a pastoral staff retreat in the Huiyang District, attended by 48 in-service pastors from across the city, said Huizhou CC&TSPM.
During the retreat, walking into the Daya Bay New Era Civilization Practice Center, the pastoral staff watched the history of the Red Army's Long March and took the "Fuxing" bullet train to watch the 30-year journey of the Daya Bay area.
Afterward, Rev. Chen Yanqun, president of Huizhou Christian Council, led a seminar on the theme "Pastoral Care and Challenges in the Economic Era With Epidemic". Discussing the current situation of their own church as an example, they shared pastoral experiences to provide effective new ideas for the pastoral model in the new era with new policies and situations.
In his concluding speech, Rev. Zhan Shaochu, chairman of Huizhou TSPM, affirmed the efforts made by the staff workers for the church ministry in Huizhou. They were also encouraged to adjust their body and mind to relax during the retreat, take care of their body in busy service, and commit to serving God with unshakable faith.
