"Faith is the relationship with the Father," said the Taiwanese Pastor Gordon Huang.

At the KUA GLOBAL sermon conducted in September, Pastor Gordon Huang, senior pastor of Taiwan Tamsui Christian Church, shared his insights on the Christian faith.

In the evangelistic rally, Taiwanese actor Tony Yang and his wife were invited to share the grace and guidance they received from God during the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, the KUA Worship Group made concerted praise and worship.

"Faith is not an exchange," Pastor Huang said, pointing out a common mistake in our faith. "If I give God what He wants, He would give me what I want."

But that is not really faith. He explained that many people work hard in life, so they would believe that I need to practice to achieve what I really want, but faith is different.

Huang said, "The truest understanding is that faith is a relationship, a relationship with the Heavenly Father. It is not an exchange or condition."

Pastor Huang made an example that it's like a father loves his children, helps them, and gives them a sense of security.

"Some may feel that they are lonely in this world, as if in the ocean with no one around. This is especially true during the pandemic, when all want to survive, but cannot find how. This seems to be the true picture of our lives in the midst of the pandemic."

"An earthly father knows to love his children, let alone the heavenly Father," he added. Therefore, Huang encouraged the audience to learn to pray to God.

"What is prayer? It's talking to the Father. Nothing difficult. It's like every day talking. Through prayer, we know our Heavenly Father and feel Him. It gives us security. We know that He is real and is with us. He is going to help us. We are not alone... But the Heavenly Father is right there with us and supports us."

"When we have the real feeling, we will have a sense of security in the face of the world. In this way, we will change our view of work, family, and life, even if there is no change in the environment."

"The Father loves us", as we love our children. "Even if our children cannot give us anything, we still love them. We are willing to sacrifice for them, even willing to put our own lives on the line. So does God, who loves us through His Son Jesus Christ. What Jesus Christ did on the cross gives us a real relationship with our Father," he shared.

"In the midst of the pandemic, many may have a hard time, but when we truly know God and connect with Him through Jesus, we can overcome the immediate difficulties," the pastor concluded.
