A church in south China’s Guangxi Province invited a pastor from Nanjing Union Theological Seminary to give a sermon on Sunday.
On February 12, Beihai Church, which is on the city's famous old street, held four services in person and online. Three of the services were in Mandarin, and one was in Cantonese. A graduate advisor at the seminary, Rev. Lin Peiquan, was one of the special pastors they invited.
Having participated in the revision of the Old Testament in the Hong Kong Bible Society in 2005, he teaches Old Testament and Hebrew at the seminary after learning Hebrew in this school.
After reading Deuteronomy 30:15-20, Pastor Lin, in a clerical robe, delivered a sermon, stating that life and death were in God’s hands and it was the right way to follow God’s words. Chosen by the Lord, believers were urged to love Him and listen to His words to be a witness for Him.
