Church leaders and pastoral staff received professional training in the Chinese provinces of Guangdong and Shandong.
More than 40 pastors and church heads participated in the 33rd training course for church leaders held on May 25–26 in Shaoguan, Guangdong, according to Guangdong CC&TSPM.
During this event, Lin Hui, a researcher of the Guangdong Provincial Ethnic and Religious Committee, provided an interpretation and analysis of the Measures for the Administration of Religious Personnel. He highlighted the rights and obligations of clerical personnel, as well as the qualification, accreditation, record, supervision, and management of staff.
Other keynote speakers included distinguished clergymen Rev. Fan Hongen, Rev. Lin Enling, Rev. Guo Yun, and Rev. Lei Yuming. They delivered lectures on some topics, such as the Financial Management Measures for Religious Activity Venues, the Regulations on the Guangdong Church (not sure), "Church Administration", and "Prevention and Resistance of Heresy and Cults." Rev. Xu Jieping delivered a speech titled 'The Sinicization of Spiritual Meditation', exploring approaches to incorporating spiritual meditation into the promotion of Christianity in China. This includes integrating excellent traditional Chinese culture and daily habits, as well as cultural expressions, for the spiritual cultivation of believers.
Rev. Yang Yongchun gave a lecture titled "Team Building and Conflict Resolution in Church Service."
Shandong CC&TSPM carried out three sessions of courses for pastoral staff at the Shandong Institute of Socialism from May 15 to 24, which trained a total of 682 people, said the provincial CC&TSPM.
The initiative featured special lectures delivered by leaders of the institute, heads of relevant departments of the Shandong Provincial Ethnic and Religious Committee, and professors of Nanjing Union Theological Seminary. These experts expounded on the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the promotion of the sinicization of Christianity, full and strict governance of religions, and the implementation of the management methods of religious groups and personnel. Ji’nan Municipal CC&TSPM introduced the experience and practices of the standardized construction of the site.
