In order to celebrate the Dragon Boat Festival, a volunteer service club in Jiangsu held a lecture on summer TCM healthcare knowledge for the elderly in the community.
On June 2nd, Jiangsu Zhenjiang Reed House Volunteer Service Club and Nightingale volunteers from Zhenjiang College of Nursing held an activity at the Reed House Activity Center: Traditional Chinese Medicine Helps the Elderly in the Community to Spend the Summer.
The event invited Nightingale volunteers from Zhenjiang College of Nursing to provide lectures on summer TCM health care knowledge. It was for elderly representatives and elderly volunteers who served in the parent canteen, initiated by the Amity Foundation and Alibaba Foundation. It introduced how to choose the appropriate way of health care according to the characteristics of one's body and season so as to achieve the purpose of preventing diseases, regulating qi and blood, and enhancing immunity. At the same time, university student volunteers also taught a set of easy-to-learn health exercises, and they would also apply the knowledge they had learned to community elderly services.
