The faith-based Amity Foundation continues its assistance to the severely flooded areas of Hebei Province, conducting research and providing relief supplies.
In response to recent heavy rainfall and flooding in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, the foundation officially launched flood disaster relief efforts on July 31st. They collaborated with local partners to assess the situation, conduct needs surveys, procure and distribute supplies, and initiate fundraising campaigns on some platforms, said the foundation.
As reported by CCTV News on August 2nd, from July 29 to August 2, significant rainfall occurred in Zhuozhou, Baoding City. Precipitation in four towns (sub-districts) exceeded 400 millimeters, leading to severe flood control situations.
Starting on August 2nd, the foundation, in collaboration with local grassroots rescue teams, conducted needs assessments in Zhuozhou and provided necessary support based on the identified needs.
The foundation sent out two batches of relief supplies on the afternoon of August 2nd. Milk, small bread, and toilet paper were delivered to five relocation points in Longyao Town and Yincun Town, Xingtai City. Bread, purified water, pickled vegetables, and instant noodles were given to multiple relocation points in towns under the jurisdiction of Gaobeidian City.
