In mid-August, a pastoral training class was held in Yunnan Province and a training course for pastor recognition was conducted in Jilin Province.
From August 15th to 18th, 80 pastoral workers from Pu’er City attended the seventh pastoral training session carried out by the municipal Christian council (CC) at Gospel Church in Simao District, said CCC&TSPM.
Senior Pastor Shao Liliang from Kunming Trinity International Church, delivered a lecture titled "Being God's Faithful Servant in the New Era." Rev. Diao Yingchun, chairman of Pu'er Municipal TSPM, gave a speech titled "Dealing With Conflicts in the Church," explaining concepts related to internal conflicts, effective conflict resolution, and the essential qualities of pastoral workers in handling conflicts.
Rev. Tian Yanping, president of Pu'er CC, covered "Fundamental Qualities Required for Pastoral Workers" from eight perspectives. Rev. Li Kun, vice president and vice chairman of Pu'er CC, gave a sermon titled "Shepherding Our Church Well," based on 1 Peter 5:2-4. Rev. Luo Hongchun, general secretary of Pu'er CC, shared insights on "Shaping Oneself from the Perspective of Talent."
During the training period, a consecration ceremony for 16 young workers was also conducted.
From August 16th to 18th, Jilin Provincial CC&TSPM organized a pastor certification training course at the Jilin Bible School, with 102 theology graduates from across the province participating in.
Rev. Ren Dazhong, chairman and president of Jilin CC&TSPM, along with four other pastors, delivered lectures on five topics including "Responsibilities of Clergy," "Church Regulations and Systems," "Sinicization of Christianity," "Challenges Faced by Young Pastoral Workers and Their Responses in the New Situation," and "I Am a Person – Martin Luther's Theological Perspective."
