The 13th session of the preaching exchange meeting on the sinicization of Christianity was held in Yunnan Province.
This event held from September 20 to 25 featured specialized training, preaching exchanges, theatrical performances, and patriotic education in diverse forms. It was attended by more than 300 participants, including members of Yunnan CC&TSPM and believers from churches in and around Yingjiang County in Dehong Prefecture, according to CCC&TSPM.
Rev. Huang Jinbin, professor at Nanjing Union Theological Seminary, was invited to deliver a lecture on "Preparation of Sermons and Preaching," and Rev. Deng Jianwei, president of the Yunnan Christian Council and acting president of Yunnan Theological Seminary, lectured on "Practicing Four Standards and Striving to Be Qualified Pastoral Workers in the New Era."
After the training, 18 speakers delivered sermons on themes such as abundant life, Christian hope, lively hope, improving the quality of life, and cherishing life at Zion Church in Yingjiang County. Pastor Deng provided on-site comments on the sermons.
On September 23, all participants visited the Dao’anren Former Residence, Hunshuigou, and the Monument of Margary Event for patriotic education. At the same time, theatrical performances commemorating the 73rd anniversary of the Three-Self Patriotic Movement (TSPM) were held, featuring Han, Dai, Lisu, and Jingpo ethnic believers from the county participating in chorus, dance, and other forms of performance.
The next day, some members of the preaching team were invited to deliver sermons at churches around the county.
