Henan Provincial CC&TSPM organized a competition for the annual excellent sermons and preachers across the province in Zhengzhou City.
During the preliminary competition from October 8th to 9th, 25 preachers advanced to the finals and preached on four themes, including “Ancient Sages and Saints,” “Faith in Practice,” “Traditional Festivals,” and “Traditional Virtues,” CCC&TSPM reported.
After a comprehensive evaluation by the expert judging panel, 20 excellent sermons were selected. Regarding the excellent preacher, there were three first-place winners, six second-place winners, 11 third-place winners, and five recipients of the excellent award. Each of them received honor certificates and award money.
Since the announcement of the competition in June, Christian organizations at the provincial, municipal, and county levels have carried out selection and recommendation activities from the grassroots to the top, conducting over 170 selection events and collecting more than 6500 sermons. Among them, 343 sermons were recommended for the provincial competition, and 25 were awarded as excellent sermons in the finals.
