The Church of England (C of E) and CCC&TSPM held a virtual conference, discussing the coming visit to the churches in China.
According to CCC&TSPM, at the meeting on November 10, hoping to nail down the schedule soon through this conference call, David Urquhart, bishop of Birmingham and Archbishop of Canterbury’s envoy to China, expressed his eagerness to meet with old friends in China. He intended to learn more about the Chinese churches and promote friendship and cooperation between both sides, though the visiting plan had been postponed due to COVID-19. He also addressed three ongoing ministries of the Archbishop of Canterbury, including prayer, encouragement for the reading and preaching of the Scriptures, and peacebuilding.
In response, Rev. Shen Xuebin, residential vice president of CCC&TSPM, dedicated prayers for the visiting schedule of the Church of England delegation, with the aspiration that such a healthy friendship would extend to the future generation.
