The Amity Foundation continues to provide assistance to earthquake-affected Gansu, with multiple batches of cold weather supplies arriving at Jishishan County.

According to Gansu Provincial Emergency Management Department, as of 9:00 am on December 20, the earthquake caused 113 deaths, 782 injuries, and 14,939 houses to collapse.

The CCTV News said that by 8:56 pm on December 20, the 6.2-magnitude earthquake in Jishishan has resulted in 22 fatalities, 198 injuries, and 12 missing persons in Haidong City, Qinghai Province.

On December 19, the faith-based foundation officially initiated disaster relief efforts, with the first group of rescue team members arriving at the scene on the same day, said the foundation. They collaborated with partners in Gansu and Qinghai to conduct emergency rescue and transitional resettlement in heavily affected areas like Jishishan County of Linxia Hui Autonomous Prefecture, providing much-needed supplies and assistance to the disaster-stricken areas.

Currently, Amity's relief work is underway with multiple batches of relief supplies gradually reaching the affected areas.

On December 19, cold-weather military coats and blankets were delivered to Dahejia Town in Jishishan County and then dispatched and distributed yesterday.

On December 20, heating stoves and accessories (stainless steel chimney pipes and elbows), blankets, socks, and military coats were loaded and transported to Jishishan County.

During the disaster assessment, staff of the foundation discovered a significant demand for cleaning supplies besides cold-weather essentials. On December 20, the foundation purchased toilet paper, wet wipes, and sanitary pads and transported them to Jishishan County, expected to arrive by the 21st.

According to Xinhua News Agency's noon report on December 20, as of 3 p.m. on the 19th, Gansu Province's rescue work has mostly concluded, shifting focus to treating the injured and resettling affected residents.

As per CCC&TSPM, a call for donations of funds and goods has been made. The disaster area urgently needs supplies such as cotton tents, blankets, cotton clothes, cotton shoes, mobile board houses, electric blankets, folding beds, stoves, and medicines for colds, trauma, and inflammation. The Charity Association of Jishishan Bao'an, Dongxiang, and Salar Autonomous County receives donated materials.
