Before the Chinese New Year, a church in Fujian Province exhibited nearly 50 works by several Christian calligraphers and painters.
On February 4, Huangxiang (Flower Lane) Church in Fuzhou displayed congregants’ Chinese calligraphy and artwork at the ancient house of Huaxiang Church, which mainly contained Bible verses, presenting the new outlook of Christians who are patriotic and faithful, living lives that glorify God and benefit society. According to the church staff, this exhibition will be prolonged until the 15th day of the first lunar month.
Huaxiang Church has organized pastors and Christian calligraphy lovers to write Christian couplets for several Spring Festivals, which will be presented to grassroots churches or believers.
This year, several Christian calligraphy enthusiasts also gave away free Spring Festival couplets to believers in the exhibition hall, which the congregation appreciated.
