On June 15, a groundbreaking ceremony was held in the Fuyong Church of Shenzhen Bao’an Christian Church.
According to Guangdong CC&TSPM, more than 300 people (including receptionists) participated in the activity. It included 50 representatives of CC&TSPM from six cities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA), Hong Kong, and Macao and 180 people, who were members of Bao’an CC&TSPM, special guests, and representatives from local churches.
The ceremony was held by Rev. Jie Qiufu, president of Bao’an CC. Rev. Fan Hong’en, president of Shenzhen TSPM, and Rev. Cai Bosheng, president of Shenzhen CC&TSPM, delivered speeches. Rev. Wang Lei, secretary general of Bao’an CC, led people to lay a cornerstone in the soil and pray in response to God.
The initial shoveling of earth on the cornerstone was conducted by the government authorities and representatives of Guangdong Province, Hong Kong, and Macao. The was followed by the leadership of Shenzhen and Bao’an CC&TSPM, representatives of GBA, special guests, and 68 representatives from all churches.
