Located in Zhangpu County, Zhangzhou City, Fujian Province, Shancheng Meeting Point has experienced congregational development. As a result, the congregation has been eager to build a new church building. Local Christians have been praying and seeking support for a long time. Meanwhile, distinct churches across the county and city and the local pastors have also extended support for this initiative. Pastor Wu Shanguang of the Shancheng Church, together with three generations of his family, took the initiative in donation, which encouraged the congregation's dedication of over 1.4 million yuan for the building of a new 700-square-meter structure.
After more than 200 days of intense construction, the new church is nearly finished and is anticipated to be completed before National Day on October 1, 2024.
A few days ago, Rev. Huang Lihong, Ms. Chen Ruai, and fellow members of the Beimen Church paid a special visit to the construction site of Shancheng Church to offer prayers for the timely completion of its undertaking furnishing.
The delegation headed by Rev. Huang shared that their church will furnish all the tables and chairs in addition to financial support once the new building is completed. Along with monetary donations, women believers like Ms. Chen Ruai will donate two pianos as well.
According to Rev. Mai Jianxin of Zhangpu Church, the newly built Shancheng Church will hold a dedication ceremony on October 26.
