A church in Fujian dedicated its new building and marked the 100th anniversary of gospel transmission.
According to CCC&TSPM, the ceremony took place at the Shanweixia Church in Zhuzhuang Township, Licheng District, Putian City, on February 3, with the presence of pastoral staff and believers from both within and beyond Fujian Province.
Rev. Chen Xiuping, the senior pastor of Shanweixia Church, presided over the unveiling ceremony of the church, marking the beginning of the celebration. Rev. Yue Qinghua, vice president of the China Christian Council (CCC) and dean of Fujian Theological Seminary, as well as Rev. Chen Yilu, executive vice president of Nanjing Union Theological Seminary, unveiled the church.
The second part was the church dedication and 100th anniversary service. Rev. Yue delivered “Preparations for Jesus’s Service,” based on Mark 1:9–11, encouraging the believers to be faithful servants following the example of Jesus Christ.
At the gratitude ceremony, Pastor Yue congratulated and exhorted the congregation to "read the Bible and pray, nurture talents, and preach the love of the Lord." Pastor Chen emphasized that the church's development should go through trials to better serve the people. Rev. Zhang Jinmu, president of the Municipal CC, stressed the need for churches to spread the gospel through unity, patriotism, and faithfulness to ensure a healthy continuity of faith.
