Beijing CC&TSPM hosted preaching activities themed “Strict Church Governance” and autumn retreats.
A total of eight pastors, divided into pairs, preached at four different churches from September 7 to 8, in line with 1 Corinthians 14:40, "everything should be done in a fitting and orderly way," said Beijing CC&TSPM.
At Tongzhou Church, Rev. Sun Lihua delivered a sermon titled "Church Norms from the Miriam Incident," based on Numbers 12:1-16, and another sermon titled "A Life That Breaks Boundaries," based on Acts 10:1-8. Rev. Zhang Junxi preached a sermon titled "Blessings and Virtues," on Matthew 5:1-12.
At Mentougou Church, Rev. Liu Yan gave a sermon with the title "I Am the Lord Your God — Life Reflections Under the Ten Commandments Covenant," explaining the practical significance of the Ten Commandments for living a pious life today. Rev. Chang Yue emphasized the importance of piety and obedience through the stories of Nadab, Abihu, Eli’s sons, and Uzzah in a sermon titled "God Will Not Be Mocked."
Rev. Fu Baoli and Rev. Han Zanhui from Nankou Church guided fellow ministers and believers to understand the importance and necessity of strict church governance. Over 4,000 believers from 11 churches (gathering sites) in Changping District participated in the retreats online and in person.
Rev. Zhang Zhongyun and Rev. Shen Zhongyan from Nanyuan Church expounded on the importance of Christians practicing their faith, and teaching believers how to live out their faith.
